Rules for the Theme Sections

Competition Rules for the Theme “Betterment of Rural Life” Section (T1):
  • There are around 6 lacs villages in India and 2/3 of our population resides in villages. The need of the hour is to explore the pathways of making rural life better as apparently development of rural area can lead to overall development of the nation. 
  • The thrust on enhancement of Education, Employment, Industry, Sanitation, Healthcare is essential in addition to mere basic needs i.e. food, shelter, clothing to conceive the betterment of life. 
  •  The research and project work under this section may be on wide variety of facets such as: Water Management, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy Solutions, Communication, Connectivity, Accessibility, Security, Waste Management, Healthcare, Smart village concept, Artificial Intelligence in rural development and many such.
  •  This section intents to
  • Encourage the students and faculty to work in national interest by identifying ground level problems and find solutions while doing research and project work so that their efforts and energy be useful to improve the lives of prime population of India that reside in villages.
  • Develop not only Industry – Institute but an Institute – Industry – Society connect.
  •  Projects based on the given theme only can send entries in this section.
  • The competition is open to the students of Diploma, Graduation and Post-graduation in Engineering/Technology as well as Agriculture i.e. Diploma/B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc(Agri.), M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc. (Agri.) in the State of Maharashtra and Goa.
  • Project group consisting students of different Colleges, Branches, Years (i.e. Inter College / Inter Disciplinary group) can send entry in this section.
  •  Participants must carry I-Card & bona fide certificate (issued by their College) at the time of reporting at the venue.
  • Maximum number of participants in each project group should not exceed 6.
  • There is no restriction on the number of entries to be sent by any Institute/College in this section.
  • In the prequalification round (Scrutiny Process), all the entries will be examined by the members of Scrutiny committee on the basis of the synopsis submitted by the students. Entries selected in the scrutiny process will be allowed to participate in the exhibition. Selection of entries will be intimated to the participants.Two prizes (First & Second) will be awarded in this section.
